Missing baby: Villagers demand fast action
DH News Service,Tumkur:
Villagers of Manchagodanahalli protested in front of the District General Hospital on Wednesday demanding quick action in locating the newborn child that went missing from the hospital recently.

The protest was held under the leadership of BJP leader B Sureshgowda who accused the  hospital staff of being irresponsible.
The protesters demanded that  the irresponsible staff should be suspended with immediate effect and the police should take fast action in finding the baby.
Reacting to the demands of the protesters district surgeon M R Rangaswamy said that enquiry is being held into the matter and the staff is being interrogated. However, prima facie there is no evidence of  staff involvement in the incident, he said.
He lamented that the incident is unfortunate and said a complaint has already been registered with the police.
