Graduation day
The class 10 students of ‘Deva Matha Central School (2007-08 batch) celebrated their Annual Graduation day recently. The event was also tinged with sadness. Latha Mathew, principal of the school, gave an insight into the activities of the students and the remarkable strides they made during their tenure at the school. Calling upon parents to encourage their children to dream, she said it is not often that teachers get the opportunity to talk to the parents and their children on a single platform on what the children need. Chief guest, Prof V B Coutinho, former vice-chancellor of Gulbarga University said, “allow the young ones to dream and follow what they aspire to do without coming in the way. Many of you would have loved to have engineers, doctors and all paying careers, but let it come from them,” he said.
The school, an autonomous international and day school, is under the auspices of the Garden City College and a part of the legacy that has been established under the leadership of the visionary educationalist Dr Joseph V G. The learning methodology is a project based approach to learning that integrates all subject areas of the CBSE, New Delhi curriculum in a state-of-the-art campus.
