This is probably the first time ever that a birthing centre offered exciting contests, games and interactive knowledge sessions exclusively for expectant couples and for parents of new born babies. A tertiary perinatal centre, the Cradle organised these events recently at its premises in Jayanagar.
The competition for expectant couples saw an interactive and fun session that is also informative, stalls showcasing a wide variety of products related to pregnancy, parenthood and growing babies. Pampering oneself with a special foot and hand massage. Cookery show of quick and nutritious food for babies and pregnant women. Chef Immanuel answered questions and there was an interactive sessions with expert panel of doctors.
Says Dr Kishore Kumar, CEO and MD, The Cradle, "We have delivered 600 babies at the Cradle and are proud of the work that is going on here. We have set the bench mark for pre-natal and antenatal care and are happy with the response to our venture. Achieving zero percent mortality and morbidity in India is not a joke – and we are very proud of the same having delivered close to 600 babies – with each and every baby including babies born at 600 gms doing extremely well – thanks to the excellent team of doctors and nurses we have”.
He adds, “Our services to parents do not end with childbirth but in living up to the motto of delivering joy through various programmes that pamper and provide that extra care. Celebrating this important milestone, we will be organizing a series of programmes that are informative, entertaining and engaging.”. The programmes included a contest among Cradle babies involving various categories such as friendly baby, chubby baby, bubbly baby and smiling beauty. A panel of judges will shortlist participants and special prizes will be given away·
