A high tech multi-point video conferencing facility was launched at the City Civil Court premises on Wednesday. The facility allows inmates in jails in Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad and other districts in the State to be produced before the courts.
Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph spoke to senior jailers in Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Gulbarga, Bijapur through video-conferencing after inaugurating the facility on Wednesday.
The multi-point video conferencing is very useful as it saves the time and cuts cost involved in transporting the jail inmates. High Court judges S S R Bannur Mutt, V Gopal Gowda were present.
