Empowering women economically is needed to create a healthy society, opined Assistant Commissioner Jyothi.
She was speaking after inaugurating an exhibition-cum-sale of various things manufactured by the Taluk Sthree Shakti Sanghas’ Federation held in Tiptur.
She called upon women to avail of the various schemes implemented by the government for women’s welfare.
Chief Executive Officer Ravindra said that two more stalls will be opened for the sale of products manufactured by the Sthree Shakti Sangas. These stalls will provide marketing facilities for the women, he added.
Taluk Panchayat President H B Gouramma elaborated on the need for encouraging activities of Sthree Shakti Sanghas.
Former TP President H M Prakash and Assistant Child Development Officer P Omkarappa, Sundaramma and supervisors, members of the Stri Shakti Sangas were present.
