He was speaking at the training programme on enhancement of agricultural productivity held at a farm in Siddanakatte in  Kandikere hobli, Chikkanayakanahalli taluk.
Farmers will not only earn better but even the fertility of the soil will be enhanced if natural farming is followed, he added.
Dr Shivalingaiah, Agriculture Science Centre, Konehalli spoke on the various disease that are common in horticulture and also suggested methods to contain them.
However, Dr Prasanna Kumar presented a paper on soil fertility and enhancement of agriculture productivity.
