In an industry first, Penguin Books India has tied up with a mobile technology developer to provide content from its books available on mobile phones.
And what is interesting is that the global publishing brand is starting the experiment in India, with the global rollout for the facility slated for later.
Penguin’s partnership with technoloby provider Mobifusion will result in the availability of a wide range of content from its books available to mobile customers, company officials said.
“The partnership that will begin with a focus on the Indian consumer base will look to a global roll-out in time, expanding to include Penguin’s global brand and an array of international products,” they said.
The tie up is aimed at those people who are constantly on the move.
