Midday meal: NGO claims innocence
DH News Service,Gulbarga:
Adamya Chetana, a Bangalore based NGO, has said that it was not responsible for Harsur high school students falling ill after consuming the midday meal supplied by it on Wednesday.

Adamya Chetana, a Bangalore based NGO, has said that it was not responsible for  Harsur high school students falling ill after consuming the midday meal supplied by it on Wednesday.
It said the organisation was supplying food to 12,000 students of 65 schools in the district and wondered how only a few students of one school develop complications after consuming the same food.
Claiming that only five to six students have fallen ill and 25 admitted to the hospital as a precaution the NGO made it clear that the food was carried in stainless steel containers and not in plastic containers.
``The other factors like students eating road side food, impure water, not washing hands before taking food, impure plates may also be responsible for food poisoning ‘’ said Admya Chetana Trustee Pradeep Oak.
He, however, said that they were also concerned about the incident and an enquiry has already begun in this regard.
