A deal between French car maker Renault and India's Bajaj may come within this year, Nissan Motor Co and Renault Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn said on Friday.
Mr Ghosn told that a deal could be expected “sometime within this year” as all parties were willing to make a deal happen.
Meanwhile, Renault and Nissan on Friday signed a MoU with Tamil Nadu government for setting up an integrated greenfield automotive facility at Oragadam, with an investment of Rs 4,500 crore. The industrial complex will enable vehicle production for each carmaker and a power train facility. Production is expected to start in the beginning of 2010.
