The district cooperative banks are giving loans at 4 per cent interest to strengthen Sthree Shakti groups.
The women can make use of this loan to improve the financial condition of the family and use it for other development purposes, said District DCC Bank president K N Rajanna.
He was speaking during his recent visit to Tiptur to review the workings of the various district cooperative banks and said the staff of the coop banks should be in their place during the working hours and  not only serve the people  but also lay stress on Sthree shakti groups.
Former legislator and District Bank director K Shadakshari was present and held discussion with the president regarding DCC Bank Tiptur branch.
Nabard official Ganesh Kumar, Cooperative’s assistant deputy manager Kantharaju and Tiptur branch manager T P Umashanker gave the necessary information to the people gathered and highlighted the details.
