The United Theological College will celebrate its college day with an art show at the J R Chandran Memorial Seminar Hall...

The United Theological College (UTC) is all set to celebrate its college day with art.  The art show, organised at the J R Chandran Memorial Seminar Hall, promises to showcase the best of the City.

The art exhibition entitled 'Reminiscence' will portray finely crafted art pieces by members of the UTC community.

The artist

Rev Sunil Raj Philip, a student of UTC doing his post-graduate studies in Communication, is a self taught artist who has attempted to bring out deeper theological and philosophical insights through his art and paintings.

The works

The exhibits include water colour, acrylic and oil paintings done on paper and canvas.

Deepa Jeyakar, an amateur artist, who is an engineer by profession and now at the UTC has pitched in with craft work on pottery.

The institute

Established in 1910, UTC is one of leading institutions for religious studies.

It celebrates 98 years in mission and ministry and its service reaches out to the church and society at a wider holistic level.

The exhibition is on February 23 between 9 am and 4 pm
