Detained Pakistani lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan (C), who led deposed chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry's legal fight against his suspension by President Pervez Musharraf, is greeted by lawyers as he arrives for casting his vote in the High Court annual election in Lahore on Saturday. Ahsan, a former minister, has been under detention since Musharraf imposed a state of emergency on November 3, 2007, sacking the chief justice and other judges to clear legal obstacles to his second presidential term of office. Commercialising of cricket

Is commercialisation of cricket through the Indian Premier League good or bad? Deccan Herald had invited its readers’ opinion on the issue. Almost all our readers opined that commercialisation of cricket would have negative effect on the game as money would dominate the true spirit and patriotism of players.
The responsibility of players will be measured in terms of their bid amount. Some readers even termed IPL bidding as slave trade.
