Arjun R blanked Ghani 3-0 in the secound round of the TA Selvaraj Open snooker tournament at the KSBA hall on Saturday.

Sports fest for disabled

Samarthanam Trust for the disabled, in association with Rotract Club of Jayanagar, will conduct a State-level sports meet for the disabled at the Kanteerava stadium on Sunday.

The meet is divided into two age groups (7-12 and 13-18) and four different segments: visually impaired, hearing impaired, mentally challenged and wheel-chaired. The events to be held are 50, 100 and 200 metres runs, throwball, discuss throw, shotput, javelin throw, long jump. There is cricket competition for the wheel-chaired.

Girish, Asha to lead Karnataka

Girish C and Asha will lead the Karnataka men’s and women’s tem respectively in the 27th Senior National Netball championships to be held at Delhi from February 26 to 29.
