KPTCL Vidyuth Vitharana Guttige Karmikara Sangha has appealed to Governor Rameshwar Thakur to stay the retrenchment of assistant engineers, junior engineers and helpers appointed on contract basis in KPTCL and five electricity supply companies (escoms).

In a memorandum submitted to the Governor, United Trade Union Centre-Lenin Sarani State president K Radhakrishna and Sangha vice president M S Prakash have stated that more than 900 engineers and helpers have been removed from service.

“These workers have put in more than 10 years of service with a hope that their services would be regularised.Hence they should be reinstated and their services regularised,” leaders stated.
