Ex-Secretariat official dies
Al Haj Mehboob Ali Sanglikar (79), a retired joint secretary of the Karnataka Government Secretariat passed away in Bangalore,  after a brief illness. He is survived by wife, three sons and a daughter. The mortal remains will be buried at the Srirampur burial ground at  1.30 pm on Tuesday, following prayers at the Rajajinagar Noor Masjid.

Water adalat today
BWSSB, West-4 sub-division is holding a water adalat on Tuesday between 9.30 am and 11 am. It will be held at the office of assistant executive engineer, west-4 sub-division at West of Chord Road. The adalat will settle disputes connected to water billing, delay in giving water supply and sanitary connection etc. Disputes of customers under the jurisdiction of West of Chord Road 1 and 2, Basaveshwaranagar I and II Blocks, Industrial Town, Dasarahalli, Kamakshipalya, Kamalanagar, Manjunathnagar, Shivnagar and BEML Nagar service station limits will be heard and settled. Call executive engineer (west) on 22945171 or assistant executive engineer (west-4 sub-division) on 22945184. Customers can use IVRS no 155313 to lodge their complaints round the clock.

Grievance meet on Feb 29
The Regional Director, ESI Corporation, Bangalore will be holding an open session of shikayat adalat on February 29 at 3 pm,for on the spot redressal of public grievances, at the Regional Office, ESI Corporation, No 10, Binnyfields, Binnypet.

Public having grievances about the administration of cash benefits under the ESI scheme or about its implementation may attend the adalat.

City astrologer invited
Bangalore-based K N Somayaji, astrologer and vaastu expert has been invited by Positional Astronomy Centre, India Meteorological Department, Kolkata to give his expert views on the contents to be incorporated in the Rashtreeya Panchanga. The Centre’s Director S Sen has said that a meeting would be held on April 3 in Kolkata.
