The rich should develop sensitivity towards the poor and fight for elimination of poverty, opined Balehonnur mutt Sri Veerabhadra Shivachar Swamiji of Siddarabetta, Koratagere.
Inaugurating the free health camp and eye check-up camp organised as part of 64th birthday celebrations of Adichunchanagiri pontiff Bala Gangadharanath Swamiji at Hebbur Government School premises, Swamiji called upon people to give top priority to health.
“These days, thanks to nuclear family concept, the aged are being ignored by their own children. This is unfortunate. Such free camps help poor senior citizens to address their health issues,” he said.
He also applauded the efforts of BJP leader and director of district Okkaliga organisation K B Boregowda in organising the camp and making it a success.
Sri Shivakumar Swamiji of Mayasandra Adichunchanagiri mutt graced the occasion.
