Narco test for terror suspect

Hubli JMFC Court on Monday permitted the Corps of Detectives (CoD) to subject terror suspect Yahya to narco test and to extend the custody till March 6.

Judge Srinivas extended the custody of other terror suspects Mohammed Asif, a final year MBBS student of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Shakil Mali and Allabaksha Yadwad till March 6. Asif and Mali were produced at judge’s residence on Monday morning on security reasons.

Meanwhile, the bail application moved by Mohammed Asif will come up for hearing on March 6.

The judge also extended the date for producing terror suspects Mohammed Ghouse and Asadullah Abubakar before the court, till March 6. The accused are now in Bellary Jail. The application filed by an advocate I D Jalagar, appearing for Mohammed Asif,  will come up for hearing  on Tuesday.

The counsel had sought time to present argument only after meeting his client.

The assistant public prosecutor Kiran Patil, appearing for the CoD, would file his objections.
