Iyengar to be feted
Ramatheertha Seva Foundation and Niramaya Yoga Kunteeram of Bangalore are jointly felicitating yoga exponent Dr B K S Iyengar on Feb 28 in Bangalore. The Guruvandana programme is being organised to felicitate the yoga guru on his 90th birthday, according to Foundation managing trustee Raghavendra Shenoy.

A violin concert by Aneesh Vidyashankar and also a video presentation of yoga practiced by Iyengar will be the highlights of the programme to be held at 6:30 pm, RV Teachers College, near Ashoka Pillar, Jayanagar.

Yogi’s ashes immersed
The Maharshi Ved Vigyan Vishwa Vidya Peetham has  said that the holy ashes of spiritual guru, Maharshi Mahesh Yogi were immersed in the River Cauvery on Monday.

The ashes were kept at Maharshi Vidya Mandir for darshan from 11 am onwardsbefore immerising in the Cauvery at Srirangapatna.
