District Congress President Shafi Ahmed has announced that the publicised Congressparty workers’ meet to be held at Chirat cillage in Sira taluk from February 27 is illegal. This was announced in a press release by the party.
“D S nagabhushan who has called for the meet has already been removed from the party on the orders of the KPCC President Mallikharjuna Karge. He has no right to call any such meeting,”said Ahmed. He also added that this press release was sent out with the objective of keeping the Congress party worker informed.

“The new president of Sira taluk will soon be nominated. Therefore the meet that is being called on the 27th of February at Chirat village and Karidasarahalli is illegal. The congress party workers of both Tumkur district and Sira taluk are being directed not to attend the meet” said Shafi.
