Debate On City Firing
Bangalore, Feb. 26.

Adjournment motions seeking to discuss the police firing and lathi-charges in the city yesterday on HAL employees and the lock-out of the factory, raised by four members in the State Assembly and by an MP in the Lok Sabha were ruled out on Wednesday by the Speakers of the Assembly and Parliament respectively. Speaker Kanthi told the Assembly that there were other parliamentary opportunities available during the session when this subject could be taken up for debate.

Experts To Take Care Of Industries
Bangalore, Feb. 26.

A fervent plea for rationalising the industrial policy of the Government by entrusting the management of state-owned industries to Boards of Experts was entered by Mr J B Mallaradhya in the State Legislative Assembly today.

IAS Officers Reshuffled
By A Staff Reporter
Bangalore, Feb. 26.

In a major reshuffle of top level police officers in the State three IGPs have been promoted as Director-General of Police with Mr B N Garudachar replacing Mr K C K Raja as the head of the State Police.

Mr B N Garudachar has been promoted as Director-General and Inspector-General of Police, Karnataka State vice Mr K C K Raja appointed as Director-General of Police, Special Units, Bangalore.
