Deccan Herald - BJP slams budget

If Congress MPs from Karnataka hailed the rail budget, BJP MPs from the State slammed the budget, terming it a Bihar and Tamil Nadu- centric exercise.

Union Minister of State for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways K H Muniyappa hailed the budget saying it has given a direction to the future.

However, Muniyappa said he would lead a delegation of state MPs to the Railway Minister seeking inclusion of some long-pending projects in the supplementary budget.
