Mandya district has been chosen for the pilot project for implementation of delimitation, it is learnt. A three-day preparatory meeting was held in Bangalore recently, in this regard.
About 40 officers, including tahsildars of various taluks, were present in the meeting.
However, when contacted Deputy Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad said that he has not received any official information about choosing Mandya district for the pilot project.
“A meeting was held in Bangalore recently. Certain procedures pertaining to delimitation were discussed at the meeting. It is true that Mandya district officers were invited first. I have no further information”, the deputy commissioner clarified.
