He was speaking at the programme for reinstallation and kumbhabhisheka of Lakshmi pattadalamma, Chikanna and Doddamma deities in Alkeregrama in Kunigal.
He also added that the rich and magnificent Indian culture gave a lot of importance to temples for the role that they play in the spiritual growth of the human soul.
Sri Kumara Chandrashekarnath Swamiji of Vokkaliga Mahasamstha mutt who also spoke on the occasion added that from time immemorial, parents have been the guiding light for the children and this has to continue if India wanted to retain its high place in the moral world.
Former MLC Muddahanume Gowda who presided over the functions said the modern world and technology has made life easier materially but has taken away man’s peace.
To ensure that one does not completely disconnect from the spiritual world, the religious institutions have to play a very important role.
Muddahanume Gowda also added that all religions in the society had an obligations to point the youth in the right direction.
