Dog bites boy, people silence it
Bangalore, DHNS:

The menace of street dogs is back to haunt residents of Sahakarnagar near Byatarayanpura.

Irate labourers and some residents of 4th Cross beat a dog to death with sticks on Thursday morning after it inflicted severe bites on a 12-year-old-boy, on way to school.

Dog-bite victim D J Anthony Prinson, a class VI student of Vivekananda Middle School recounted his experience to Deccan Herald: “I was going to my class around 9 am when a stray dog bit me very badly on my legs and hands. To save myself, I caught its tail, twisted it and dashed it against the wall nearby and it fell unconscious.” It was then killed by a crowd which gathered around.

Repeated attacks
“This is the third serious incident of dog bite within a week. Another school boy was bitten a day earlier while an old lady was a victim of dog bite last Friday,” Mohan, who resides nearby said.

Repeated calls to the BBMP office at Byatarayanpura in connection with the problem elicited no response, he charged. Veeramani, an executive at ITI Limited, who resides nearby said, “Street dogs have been causing problems for over a month now and their count has increased in a big way in the area.

This article is a typical poorly researched and shabbily structured one on so called 'dangerous animals' periodically published by DH. It would appear that it's more a work of fiction designed to incite unthinking 'ordinary people' into a state of hatred for animals other than humans. The article neither accurately reports the event nor corroborates any of the allegations with any kind of evidence. Very convenient isn't it?
