He was speaking about the facilities being given by the Department to farmers. The farmers can get sowing machine, de-husking machine, power sprayers and other machines at a subsidised rate at the Department, Mr Kumaraswamy added.

Subsidy
When the farmers opt for these machines, they will either get 50 per cent subsidy or Rs 25,000 whichever is less, Mr Kumaraswamy  added.

Farmers belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe and women will be given priority in distribution of machines, the Senior Assistant Director said. Those who are interested in the scheme may contact the Horticulture Department.
