Okkuta stages protest
DH News Service, Madikeri:
Urging the authorities to start the work on the construction of Suvarna Karnataka cultural complex, in front of DC office on Friday.

Though the government has released a sum of Rs 1.07 crore, the dispute over land has stalled the construction work.

Okkuta’s Addanda C Kariappa urged the district administration to convene a meeting soon. Former MLA K G Bopaiah expressed displeasure over the delay in the work. 

Deputy Divisional Officer Akram Pasha who visited the spot, assured to convene a meeting soon.

District Bharatiya Janatha Party President Sunil Subramani, BSP     district unit President Appacchu and others took part in the protest.
