“High investment growth is taking place which is promising for the future. We continue to have a healthy external account and inflation has been contained,” Mr Mohan told reporters after the quarterly meeting of  RBI board at Lucknow.

RBI Governor Y V Reddy chaired the meeting. Directors who attended  included U R Rao, Y H Malegam, Suresh Tendulkar, Lakshmi Chandr, Ashok S Ganguly, Sashi Rajagopalan, M M Sharma and  Sanjay Labroo, besides deputy governors V Leeladhar, S Gopinath and  Usha Thorat.
