MARKET / Sebi provides a new year gift

The Sebi circular further said, the entry fee exemption would also apply to additional purchases made directly by the investors under the same folio or for switching from one scheme to the other.
Deficit dips to $5.5 billion in Sept  
The countrys current account deficit in the quarter ended September 30, 2007 narrowed to $5.5 billion from $6.3 billion a year earlier, said a preliminary data issued by Rserve Bank of India here on Monday.

Index-based circuit breaker will trip trades  
The Bombay Stock Exchange, on Monday, said the trading would come to a halt when its benchmark Sensex records a movement of 2,025 points during any trading session in the quarter beginning Tuesday.
