A children’s census will be held across the taluk from January 21 to 23, aimed at providing quality education to children. Taluk block officer has appealed to the public to co-operate in successful completion of the census.
Primary education is the right of every child. The government aims to provide primary education to all children up to the age of 14 years. The census intends to universalise primary education. As part of it, children will be identified and enrolled at schools.
It will be ensured that the all cities, towns, taluks, villages, farm houses, slums and tents on roadside across the State will be covered under the census. Pavagada taluk block officer has appealed to the public to cooperate with the census staff by providing proper details about the children in their families.
