Gastroenteritis surfaces
Mulbagal, DHNS: The acute drinking water crisis in Mulbagal city and surrounding villages has lead to the outbreak of  Gastroenteritis in the region. On Sunday as many as 25 people were admitted to the government in the city. Many people have also been admitted to private hospital in the city. All of the them have been diagnosed to be suffering from Gastroenteritis.

Mulbagal taluk Health officer Dr Manu has said that all the preventive steps have been taken to control the disease.

President election today
Mulbagal, DHNS: President of the Government Employees Association, Mulbagal unit will be elected on Monday. The members of the State Council will also be elected on the same day. K V Subramanya and Kondappa are in the fray for the post of president and for the membership in to the State Council Geeta and H V Hanumanthu are in the final fray.

Religious programme
Chintamani, DHNS:  On the occasion of Mangalwara Hunnime a Religious programme has been organised by at the Muneeshwara Swamy temple in kagathi village on  January 22. There will be prayers, hymn singing. This is was announced by the trustee Kagathi Venkatarathnam.
