“The mistakes committed by the fellow party workers must be fairly rectified by others in the party. But one should not demand one’s own will be to be executed very time as this will have disastrous effect”, K Srinivas Gowda warned some of the old Congress members.
He was speaking after doing the ground breaking ceremony for the developmental works undertaken at Kodikannuru village under Suvarna Grama Scheme at a cost of Rs 13.32 lakhs.
People of the region are not only wise but understand politics very well, opined Gowda who said that politics is not all about money.
“No one can question the developmental works done by me”, warned Gowda who said that he had not only laid and repaired roads and drainages but has also established schools, colleges and has also provided drinking water facility to the people of the region.
“Some are leading the innocent people astray by alluring them with money. But one should not be under the impression that by giving money one can get in to the politics, as people should not forget what happened Vijay Mallya who applied the same trick in the last elections”, said Gowda.
“Kolar city is notorious for the Hindu-Muslim riots but during the 14 years of my rule there were no riots”, claimed Srinivas Gowda who said that it was he who was responsible for a flower seller to become CMC Commissioner.
He said that a project is being taken up to provide water to 19 tanks in the district from Upper Bhadra irrigation project. In a similar way there are also plans to implement Yaragolu scheme, he added.
“The Suvarna Gram scheme has been implemented in 12 other villages of the taluk,” said ZP president A C Nagaratna who spoke on the occasion.
