Police baffled with cash find
Jalandhar, Agencies:
Police officials investigating the murder of the 59-year-old principal stumbled on a suitcase containing the money.

The Jalandhar police are baffled with the discovery of Rs 30.7 lakh in cash from the bedroom of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV) college principal Rita Bawa, who was found murdered inside her residence on the college campus on Sunday along with three other school employees.

Police officials investigating the murder of the 59-year-old principal stumbled on a suitcase containing the money. It is still not known to whom the money belongs.

“We are trying to probe whether she had received this money from a property deal or had brought it to pay for some property deal.

What is surprising is that her killers did not touch the money at all,” an investigating official said.
