New shelter for 432 families  
Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) Commissioner Dr S Subramanya on Sunday instructed officials led by Joint Commissioner (East) Nagaraj to initiate immediate steps to shift residents of 12 housing blocks of the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) quarters at Ejipura to temporary makeshift sheds for safety.
BJP worker hacked to death  
Chinnayya (27), a BJP worker, was hacked to death in Anekal town near Mysore Bank, on Sunday night.

Only two lifts operate in the mall from the basement to the top floors after 9 pm. This is bound to put pressure on moviegoers who, after parking their vehicles, are in a hurry to enter the hall before the movie begins.
