The most fashionable event in the annual calendar of the City took place on Sunday. No, it was not a fashion show, but the Bangalore Derby, where the gliteratti and the cognoscenti of the City flaunt their flair in their colourful best.

The favourite horse which would win the race was known to most of the crowd and if some of them did not know, it did not matter. After all the event was a mere excuse to be present and to be seen among the who’s who.
