In a city that is associated with dance and music, DJ Pete Gooding offered his fans his signature funk-fueled house music at Amnesia, a new hangout, recently. DJ Pete gave the late night clubbers here a glimpse of what European house music is all about.
Apart from being a DJ, he co-hosts ‘Global Network’, a weekly show for clubbers worldwide that runs every Sunday on the Ministry of Sound Radio. His repertoire includes tracks that take you from the beach at sunset, to block-rocking main rooms without missing a beat and sees him repeatedly booked at clubs all round the world.
His journey so far has been an eventful one. “Music has been my passion, spirit and hope from my childhood and this has got me to djing since the last 15 years,” he reminices. About Djing, Pete remarks, “It’s not an easy job as it is thought to be. It demands lot of time and hard work.” And what about the country’s vibrant party circuit? “India is a very good place for djing. People in India enjoy English music. They love what I play.”
