No Hindi Please
New Delhi, Nov 25
The Speaker Mr Ananthanarayanan Ayyangar, today asked members from the Hindi-speaking area not to convert the Lok Sabha into a “Hindi class.”
He made the remark when Mr A M Thomas, Deputy Minister for Food was replying in English to a question in Hindi and a Jan Sangh member Mr Vajpayee asked whether it was in order for a minister to give the reply in English to the question.
Gandhinagar Murder Case In SC
Bangalore, Nov 25
The Mysore High Court today granted a certificate of appeal to the accused in the Gandhinagar Mass Murder Case enabling them to take the case to the Supreme Court.
Their Lordships Justice Mr Homebe Gowda and Mr Justice S S Malimath granted certificate only in respect of one point.

Cong Come Down On DH Editorial

The Deccan Herald editorial on the noisy deliberations of the House on Tuesday came in for attack by several ruling party members in the Legislative Assembly today.
The editorial on what transpired in the House on Tuesday resulting in the suspension of 19 members of the Opposition was described by the Congress(I) members as “wanton”.
