Tarot reader, numerologist, colour and angel therapist, aura reader, parapsychologist, hotel-management graduate, belly dancer, actress, radio broadcaster, jewellery designer, author, painter, poetess — K S Ashleyy has done it all. “I am the architect of human spirit. Call me the mystic”, she says introducing herself.
Born to a Sindhi family residing in the City, this Clooney Convent alumnus is a multifaceted spiritualist. Ashleyy has studied Psychotherapy from UCLA, then did her masters in Applied Kinesiology from three in One Concepts and earned a diploma in Biofeedback from Burbank, USA, followed by Colour Therapy or Aura Soma from UK. Having spent eight years studying and teaching metaphysics, learning tarot and numerology from a third-generation Israeli master, Ashleyy applies science to spirituality.
Speaking to Metrolife on the occasion of the launch of ‘Casa Mystika’ (House of the Mystic in Spanish), at Mocha on Lavelle Road. “Bangalore is the launch city for Casa Mystika, which will offer tarot reading, workshops on meditation, mind control and feng shui to all its guests. My charm jewellery and oracle decks will be on sale too”, she says.
Although in the profession of tarot reading for two years now, Ashleyy took to her spiritual side years ago when a near-fatal accident changed her life. “I was inclined towards spiritual books since childhood. I read the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita but didn’t know why. I wanted to be an actress. I was in my 20s when I was hit by a luxury bus while riding pillion. I lost my vision, suffered brain and back injury, dislocated my jaw and shoulder and was in coma for a week. People wrote me off. When I woke up from my coma, I knew I had changed. My soul had elevated. This accident took place because something higher had to happen. I went back to USA to dig deeper into spiritual science and here I am,” recalls Ashleyy, who gave up her career as assistant food and beverage manager. As an actor she featured in some of the old serials like ‘Parampara’ with Mohan Bhandari, ‘All The Best’ with Satish Shah and ‘Naya Daur’.
“My parents did not support me at all. I am the only one in my family to be doing this. Initially, I was surprised. However, my predictions came true. I had predicted that my sister-in-law would have a baby girl, when she was not even planning a child. I have not taken a penny from my parents but am well-settled doing my own thing. So, today they are most proud,” says Ashleyy.
Ashleyy has explored the unexplored, seen the unseen and now wants to explain the unexplained, probably through a TV show. “Fairies, ghosts, spirits, psychic surgeries and angels do exist. I have seen them. Everyone is into religion. But nobody looks at the spiritual side to religion. For instance Sufism is the mystical side to Islam, Kabala to Jewism and Tantra to Hinduism. I want to bring this powerful side to the fore. I want to make people aware.”
Interestingly, Ashleyy reads a closed book in a jiffy by simply placing her foot on it. “Yes, I can read a book this way in about 30 minutes. I draw all the energy from it and know the gist,” she smiles.
Ashleyy claims that it’s her god-gifted intuitive power that she uses to predict. “You don’t need a crystal ball to talk about a person. Since visiting a psychologist is such a taboo and often associated with insanity, I use all conventional tools to show a better front,” clarifies Ashleyy, who is now headed for the World Spiritual Conference in Europe and plans to set up a holistic space in Jakarta.
Although Indian by birth, Ashleyy has surprisingly more Middle-Eastern features and one cannot help but ask her about her descent, before taking leave. “I was Egyptian in my last birth,” she says.
