Anil Kumble's tenure as India captain got off to a perfect start at his happy hunting ground as the hosts thumped Pakistan by six wickets in the first Test to go 1-0 up in the three-match cricket series in New Delhi.
Kumble credits team effort for win
Anil Kumble heaped praise on his team mates for rising to the occasion in the series opener and said that the all round performance by the team was responsible for the victory that gave the hosts a crucial 1-0 lead.

Malik injured during training session
Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik today suffered an ankle injury during the team's training at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground after the Test match.
Malik  is believed to have "slightly twisted his ankle. Pakistani team media co-ordinator Javed Akhtar Siddiquisaid: "He was taken to a hospital for precautionary X-ray so there's nothing much. We have still not got the reports," he said.
