"Atrocities against minorities have been given additional exposure, in contrast with the damages caused to the majority Hindus," alleged Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
Govt reckless with finances: JD(S)  
The JD(S) on Friday alleged that the State Government has bungled managing the finances of the State by recklessly announcing a number of projects without legislative sanctions and demanded that the government should immediately come out with a white paper on the financial status.
Ban Bajrang Dal if found guilty: Minister  
Wakf and Minorities Welfare Minister Mumtaz Ali Khan has urged the government to ban any organisation, including Bajrang Dal, if found to be involved in anti-national activities disturbing communal harmony.
Academy chiefs nominated  
The State Government on Friday nominated Dr B V Rajaram, and Palthady Ramakrishna Achar as chairpersons of Karnataka Nataka Academy and Karnataka Tulu Academy respectively.
