Southwest monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over the State. Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Gowribidanur (Kolar dt), recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cm. Temperatures: Maximum temperature rose at many places being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka; above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka however below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. Bellary recorded highest maximum temperature of 35.0 deg. Cel. over the State. Minimum temperatures changed little and were normal over the State.Chamarajanagar recorded lowest minimum temperature of 18.2 deg. Celsius over the State.

Forecast: Forecast valid until the morning of Monday: Moderate to rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts Coastal Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change is expected over the State.
