It’s far from siesta time for Sigma Mall now that Fun Cinemas, on the top floor, with 33,000 square feet of space and a three-screen cinema to boast of, is officially open to the public. E-City Ventures promoted the concept of Fun Cinemas in an endeavour to redefine out-of-home-entertainment and lifestyle experiences.
The Indian mind
E-City Ventures CEO Atul Goel says: “We are keeping in mind the Indian consumers’ shift in preference for a fun-filled movie outing.”
Karnataka’s second and Bangalore’s first Fun Cinema is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and three-way surround sound with a seating capacity of 985 seats — 224 Gold and 761 Silver.
“Fun Cinemas is our 15th property in terms of multiplexes,” says COO E-City Ventures Vishal Kapoor.
“We already operate 50 cinema screens in 11 cities and 14 locations across the country. We are now looking to penetrate the Mysore market after our initial hits at Gulbarga and now the Garden City.”
Cinegoers, this is an early bird call to catch the introductory offer @ Rs 100 for silver class and Rs 120 for gold class tickets before time runs out. Show timings are between 10 am and 10 pm with four shows expected to be screened in each cinema.
A movie change will take place every week. Besides, the difference between a silver and a gold class ticket is only Rs 20. Sounds cool?
Signature services
But what makes the multiplex a definite draw are its signature services it has on offer.
*Service on Seats — you are free to place an order before the start of the movie or during the interval which will be served to you in your seat.
*Love seats — six pairs of love seats (where you can pull back the arm rest) for an enjoyable movie-watching experience.
*Online booking — Fun Cinemas will also launch their hugely successful and pioneering loyalty programme called Fun Rewards in the City soon.
This will entail a customer to rewards such as extra tickets or a free combo meal on the purchase of tickets worth Rs.500/-.
A gift-a-movie option will also be on offer eventually wherein movie and food vouchers can be delivered to the doorstep of the person of your choice.
