Piano recital
The International Music and Arts Society is hosting a piano recital by Dutch pianist Monique Copper on September 26 at 7:15 pm at the Alliance Francaise. Monique’s recitals will revolve around the theme, “Water” and she will combine the compositions inspired by water with narration to share with us the feelings and experience that water can evoke.
Monique will also pay tribute to her country, the Netherlands, a land below the sea level. She will render compositions like Claude Debussy’s Reflets dans l’eau, Chopin’s Barcarolle and Ravel’s Ondine, together with the works of some of the Dutch composers.
One of her specialties is lecture recitals of contemporary piano music, acquainting her audience with contemporary music in general and with Dutch compositions in particular.
