The housewives song:
Because I love you
If I just listed out the things I do
That list would run into a mile or two
If I had a penny for each little thing I did
I would be richer than Bill Gates and his kid
But I don’t want a thing, not any single thing
The things I do I do because – I love you
Look all around you and you’re bound to see
Signs everywhere that I only work for free
That sweater didn’t pick itself up from the ground
That pen you missed is here – It’s not from Lost and Found
I would do everything, just about anything
I’ll walk that extra mile because – I love you.

his song is an ode to housewives. It virtually glorifies housewives. It’s about the role of a housewife and that it’s sheer love for her near and dear ones that inspires her to do the things she does.
This song and several other songs have been especially composed by Chris Avinash for a musical: “Life: A miracle” on September 4 and 5 at Stella Maris Girls’ High School grounds near Chowdaiah Memorial Hall at 6 pm.
The musical has been put together to commemorate the golden jubilee of the school and 175 years of the congregation of the sisters of charity. The one and a half hour performance traces the history of the school and the life of students after school. “The musical dwells a great deal on the moral values and ethics of conduct.
That one should always put others before self is the moral of the story. Also never underestimate those around you, for, you never know who could pop out of the woods and come to your help,” explains Chris Avinash.
Chris Avinash and his team comprising K N Prakash, Rajiv Menon George and Preetha have packed in a lot of energy, enthusiasm and power into the performance. The students have been practising for the last two months.
“Each of the students started out raw. None of them have learnt music, dance or even choreography, they’ve been trained and what’s come of it is simply astounding,” observes Avinash. For tickets and passes contact, 23345620.
