Woman jumps to death at Metro station
A woman committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at Tilak Nagar Metro station on Monday.
Seema Anand, 31, lived in Hari Nagar. The incident happened at 10 am. The train was coming to Tilak Nagar and from Dwarka.
She was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. “The reason behind the suicide is unknown. No suicide note was recovered from her possession,” said a senior police officer.
Police said she was talking over the phone before committing suicide. “An initial inquiry revealed she was unmarried. Her family is being questioned in the incident,” he added. Police are also questioning her colleagues at Naraina and checking her phone details.
Last month, four incidents of suicide were reported from Metro stations.
