Trinamool accuses Pranab of trying to break party

The already strained ties between the Congress and the Trinamool Congress soured further as the latter accused Pranab Mukherjee of creating rifts within the party, after the UPA’s Presidential nominee called rebel TMC MP Kabir Suman on Wednesday morning.
Speaking on the conversation, Suman said: “Pranab Mukherjee called me to enquire about my health and we discussed the Presidential election. I told him that personally I want him to become the president of the country.”
Criticising Mukherjee, State Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee said: “What Pranab Mukherjee has done is unethical. He is trying to break TMC.
