BBMP polls: Congress brings in star power

Several Kannada Film and TV stars have begun to campaign for select candidates in the upcoming BBMP polls.  Noted actors Mukhyamantri Chandru,  B C Patil, Sashi Kuamr, Bhavana and Pramila Joshay are some of those who have hit the road. 

Interestingly, all the actors have come out in support of the Congress candidates. BJP and JD (S) have opted to ignore the star power. During their road show the Sandalwood stalwarts slammed BJP’s misrule of BBMP and said CM Siddaramaiah has given a scam free administration. 

We caught up with a few stars at ward no 88, Jeevan Beema Nagar. They were campaigning in support of the first-timer candidate K R. Prabhavathy, a resident of the ward for 20 years.                                 

Prabhavathy was happy to have the actors in her ward. She said the star campaign would fetch her more votes.
