||Ministers of the Union Cabinet on Saturday lauded the Centre's decision of rolling out Goods and Services Tax (GST). Hailing the Government's stance, Union Minister of Railways, Suresh Prabhu, said the new tax regime will resolve common man's problem in paying tax. While lauding the new tax regime, Union Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani, said GST's rollout has proved the strength of democracy to be cooperative federalism. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said post the launch of the GST, India will emerge stronger and establish a significant position in the market. Union Minister for Housing and Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu asserted that the move will bring more economic integration. Responding to a question on the problems faced by small-scale traders, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, asserted that amendments will be made as and when required.
