||Rajouri (J&K), Feb 06 (ANI): The Kashmir Valley which is known for being the ‘Pir Waer’ meaning ‘Alcove of Sufis and Saints. Tombs of thousands of Sufi saints, who worked above religious lines and forged communal harmony among people, dot the state. One such saint was Baji Ismail, whose 10 day Urs or death anniversary was recently observed at Jandi Morh in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Thousands of devotees from far-flung areas visited the place to attend this religious ceremony, irrespective of their religion. During Urs, the Shrine was reverberating with the verses of Quran which were chanted by the devotees infront of the shrine of Baji Ismail. A community kitchen was also set up to serve meal to all the devotees. People sat together and enjoyed the meal, irrespective of their religion. The valley of Kashmir is still holding the rich traditions of Sufism and has been propagating the messages of spiritualism and harmony for ages.
