Good evening dear readers! Polling for the 3rd phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections has been wrapped up in 20 states, although the average turnout will change once the final numbers are updated. As of now, the average turnout across the country stands at 61.45%. Assam jumped to the top spot with 75.26% voter turnout till the end of voting. Goa came up to the second spot with 74.27% and was followed by West Bengal at 73.93%. Karnataka fared decently with a 67.76% voter turnout. Campaigning seemed to centre around the Muslim reservation issue as PM Modi brought it up in all his rallies today, picking up ammo from RJD's Lalu Prasad who said Muslims should get reservation. Mamata Banerjee also upped her verbal attack on BJP, saying Modi and the saffron party only care about Hindus.
