A sharpshooter and an aide of underworld criminal Chhota Rajan, Yusuf Suleiman Kadri, has accused three policemen with the City Armed Reserve of accepting a bribe and misbehaving with his sister.

Kadri aka Yusuf Bachkana said in a complaint that the incident happened at the Mayo Hall court complex, where he was brought for hearing on December 14.

Based on his complaint before the magistrate, the court instructed the Ashok Nagar police to take up a case against the three constables. They have been booked under IPC Sections 354-A (sexual harassment), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace).

Bachkana told the magistrate that he is a convicted prisoner lodged at the Mysuru prison and was brought to the Mayo Hall court for a hearing in an arms case.

Since Friday was his birthday, his family had sought police permission to meet him at the court complex, for which the police even took a bribe of Rs 8,000 from his family, Bachkana said.

Bachkana's sister and his relatives met him at the court complex and wanted to click a picture with him. The police objected to taking pictures and demanded an additional Rs 5,000. This resulted in a heated argument between his family members and the police, he said.

When Bachkana's sister questioned the police, they misbehaved with her. The convict also told the magistrate that the police assaulted him when he objected to them misbehaving with his sister.

The court then ordered the Ashok Nagar police to take up a case against Satish, Rajendra and Shivashankar. It registered an FIR against the officers.

The policemen filed a counter complaint, accusing Bachkana of assault and obstructing a public servant from discharging his duty.

Bachkana was sentenced to life for murdering builder Subbaraju at his office on Seshadripuram Main Road in Vyalikaval over a disputed property in Cunningham Road on January 5, 2001.
